We live in a world full of technology, every time I go outside, or go to a restaurant all I see is people absorbed into their phones, I see little kids begging for their tablets or to play on their parents phone. My own baby is obsessed with my phone, but I try not to give it to her because I want her to learn to entertain herself in ways that don’t involve technology.

I think it’s important to take the time to actively be engaged with your kids, take them to a park if their old enough, teach them how to play hands on games, like uno or monopoly! Take the time to just be interested in what your child wants.

Ive created a routine for my little one. We wake up and start the day with some online learning videos/ nursery rhymes, then we read some books, I usually start with pointing to colors. After all of that we spend sometime in her playpen with her toys let her entertain herself for a little bit. And when she’s bored of that and mommy wants to try and get some things done, little one goes in her jumper, while watching sensory videos on YouTube to stimulate her brain.

I am constantly looking for new ways to keep little one entertained and if your interested here are some different things you can do to help with your childs development:

  1. Reading: even if your child doesn’t seem interested reading to them helps to promote a child’s brain development.

  2. Singing: that helps your baby learn about words and movement to sound and noises.

  3. Playing hands on games; like peek a boo helps your child with their senses; like visual tracking.

below I have also linked a few websites that have more information on how to help with a childs brain development;
